Fargo Apex 1 is Salsa's drop-bar off-road touring bike built to shatter limits. Ride it on singletrack, gravel, or other places you wouldn't take your standard touring bike. A triple-butted steel frame and huge tire clearance provide cushion on rugged roads. Alternator dropouts allow for any drivetrain you can imagine, and cargo mounts let you carry enough to go days between resupplies. SRAM's Apex 1 drivetrain is a reliable workhorse with the range for many adventures.

The included front and rear racks let you load it up and go on day one, and its myriad mounting points mean you don't have to leave anything at home. Triple-butted steel tubing and high-volume tires let you cover countless miles in comfort, while its touring geometry keeps everything stable when riding loaded. Carefully-selected Shimano drivetrain components deliver ease of use, reliability, and gear range for the longest flats and steepest mountain passes, while Cowchipper bars offer moderate flare in the drops for dialed-in control, along with a relaxed riding position on the tops or hoods for all-day comfort over varied road surfaces, as well as aerodynamic benefits.
